NAVI MUMBAI: Various
organizations have demanded that the program ‘Shan-E-Pakistan’ organized by the
Central Government be cancelled. These organizations were provoked by the
constant attack by Pakistan on India at the border areas. They asked the Indian
government to adopt ‘Tit for tat’ policy. The protest was held at Vashi.
The organizations which participated in this protest
included Hindu Janjagruti Samiti, Shiv Pratishtan Hidustan, Swabiman
Pratishtan, Rajashri Shivba Pracharak Mandal, Akhil Navi Mumbai Hindu
Mahasangh, Yog Vedant Samiti, Bajrang Dal, Hindu Mahasabha, Shiv Sena, Sanatan
Sanstha and others. There was massive protest held outside Vashi railway
station. Many religious people and patriots joined the protest by holding
banners indicating their displeasure over the government’s action.
Dr Uday Dhuri of Hindu Andolan Sanghatna said that India
should not have any relations with Pakistan till they stopped their terroristic
activities. He demanded the cancellation of the program ‘Shan-E-Pakistan’ and ‘Ek
Sham Pakistan Ke Naam’ which the Indian government intends to organize from 10
to 12 September, 2015. Dhuri also demanded the stoppage of all sports and
entertainment events with Pakistan. He asked the government to respect those
soldiers who became martyrs during Pakistan’s attack and cancel any event
related with Pakistan. He questioned that if Pakistan has imposed a ban on
Indian film ‘Phantom’, why can’t Indian government cancel this Pakistan-based
program?
