Touring Talkies
Trupti Bhoir has come up with her dream project named Touring Talkies. The movie is based on the concept of roaming cinema which was one of the oldest traditions in the bygone era of Indian cinema where the movies were showcased in tents for the local folks and it is also known as Touring talkies.
For the past few decades these films have made common recurring occurrences in most of the Carnival Fun fair taking place across villages where the Marathi Cinema is adored in a completely distinctive fashion. The film Touring Talkies will set out to unfurl the legendary history of films which were shown in mobile talkies when cinema was born in our country.
The film is about a young girl called Chandi who struggles to keep her touring talkies afloat. The film sets out to focus on the pitfalls of the profession.
The film deals with a novel concept and has a judicious blend of various human emotions like love, anger, jealousy, arrogance, greed etc.
The actors of the film are Subodh Bhave, Trupti Bhoir, Milind Shinde, Kishore Kadam, Vaibhav Mangle and Chinmay Sant. Direction, screenplay and lyrics are by Gajendra Ahire. Music is by Illyaraja. Cameraman is Amol Gole. Editing is done by Ballu Saluja, art direction by Vasu Patil, costume by Suneeta and make up by Anil Pemgirikar.
