BVIMSR to host AIMS Silver Jubilee Annual Management Education Convention

NAVI MUMBAI: Navi Mumbai based Bhartiya Vidyapeeth Institute of Management Studies and Research (BVIMSR), at CBD-Belapur Sector 8, will be the venue for Annual Management Education Convention of the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS). This will be the 25th edition of the convention and is scheduled between August 22nd and 24th, 2013.

The theme of the convention is “Envisioning Management Education” and  it will also address the key concern areas of management such as, academic leadership, social innovation, capacity building, new research areas, experiential learning, key concern domains, effort optimism,  neuro sciences, leaders as teacher and the application of management vicinity for the development of society by large.

Delegates are expected from topmost national and international management institutions and business houses

It is a mega event and a flagship programme of AIMS which serves as a plat-form for academia, industry and political leaders to share their perspectives and experiences. Earlier conventions of similar nature were attended by distinguished intellectuals like Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, former President of India; Dr C Rangarajan, former Governor of Reserve Bank of India; Mr Kumaramangalam Birla, Chairman, Aditya Birla Group; Mr Azim H Premji, Chairman, Wipro; Mr K V Kamath, MD & CEO, ICICI Bank; Mr J J Irani, Director, Board of Tata Steel; Dr Deepak C Jain, Dean, Kellogg School of Management, USA; Dr Vijay Govindarajan, Professor of International Business at the Tuck School of Business, USA.

Dr. D. Y. Patil, President of AIMS and Director BVIMSR said “Over the past 25 years AIMS has contributed for the development of management education and management education has itself has entered into new phase and dimensions to meet the global challenges”.

AIMS convention is the annual flagship event and meeting point of management wizards from academics and business to discuss the dimensions and curriculum of management for the year.

AIMS is a professional, non-profit networking organization of over 600 Indian B-Schools and it is one of the largest networking organizations in the world. Every year AIMS organizes its annual management education convention on the most relevant topic to business schools with a view to deliberate on the topic, related issues and suggest possible solutions.
