Mumbai police obey Maneka Gandhi?

A
man residing at Guru Dutt cooperative housing society in Seawoods kicked three
stray puppies down the stairway resulting in death of one of the puppies.
An
attempt was made to lodge an FIR. The NRI police accepted the complaint letter
handed by the witness.
Interesting part of this story is that MP and animal
activist Maneka Gandhi had written to the Navi Mumbai commissioner of police,
asking him to ensure that FIRs are registered in all animal cruelty cases. So
it is left to be seen whether any action will be taken against the person who
was responsible for the death of a puppy.
