Fashion show for differently able children
By Dinesh Kamath

BELAPUR: Amway India Corporate on the occasion of 15th anniversary of Amway Opportunity Foundation had organized a fashion show. But this show was different from all the other fashion shows. This show was something special. It was meant for differently able children of Brahmanand Pratishtan. The excellent performance of these kids revealed their tremendous hidden talents. The audiences were thrilled by the ramp walk by these children.
The theme of the fashion show was ‘Sargam’. There were three participants and they were divided into three groups of ten children. The show was conducted in a typical Bollywood style with children donning the Bollywood type of costumes. The participants were given awards.
Brahmanand Pratishtan’s Shirish Pujari said, “It was clear from the performance of these kids that they had taken a lot of pain and efforts. These children probably cannot become the part of main stream of life but if they are given opportunities and training they can perform as well as normal children. This was the message we wanted to spread through this event.”

Amway India’s Sandeep Prakash said, “I am witnessing such beautiful fashion show for the first time. These children have amazed me to a great extent. I have no words to describe my happiness. I am indebted to the trainers of Brahmanand Pratishtan who took great pains to train these kids and get them to perform so brilliantly. I strongly believe that together we can bring about a meaningful change in the lives of these differently able children.”
