Crime Branch includes a person from Navi Mumbai too

NAVI MUMBAI: The crime branch on Monday managed to solve 21 cases
of burglaries with the arrest of four members of an inter-state gang which was
active in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, Gujarat
and Kerala. The police have recovered valuables worth Rs 15 lakh. This gang also
includes Mohammed Ibrahim Akber Shaikh (32) of Koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai.
The Crime Branch happened to
receive the tip-off that the gang members would be coming to Pune in a sports
utility vehicle. They then laid a trap in Aundh and nabbed them.
All these suspects have previous criminal records. They had more than 20 cases registered against them in Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai and Ratnagiri.
