Rani Mukherjee performs superbly in the film ‘Bombay Talkies’, will play a cop in YRF’s next
Actress Rani Mukherjee will be teaming up with Yash Raj Films (YRF) for a project titled Mardaani in which she will act as a police officer for the first time. The film will be directed by Pradeep Sarkar.
The movie is supposed to be raw and gritty, something that Sarkar and Rani both have never done. The shooting of the film is likely to begin by this year end. The film will be YRF's boldest subject ever to be made and a distinct departure from Pradeep Sarkar's style of filmmaking.
Rani Mukherjee has played journalist again in Bombay Talkies. After playing a feisty journalist in No one Killed Jessica, Rani Mukherjee was seen as a journo once again in Bombay Talkies, in which she teamed up with Randeep Hooda. Rani played a sexually repressed wife and she has done a great job. Not only Rani has proved her talent once again, but Randeep, who plays Rani's husband in the film, has also done a great job. Shot in Bandra and Dahisar in Mumbai, the film also starred Saqib Saleem. Bombay Talkies was made to celebrate the 100 years of Indian cinema.
Rani Mukerjee looks simply stunning in all the frames of Bombay Talkies. Rani also teams up with friend Karan Johar after a long time. The last time they worked together was in 2006 in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. In Bombay Talkies, Rani plays a happily married woman whose life changes when she meets a young intern at her workplace. The pairing of Randeep Hooda and Rani Mukerji is also a fresh one.
