NAVI MUMBAI: The students of NIFT, Kharghar got an opportunity to show their class in Mumbai. NIFT, Mumbai one of the premier institutes in fashion celebrated ‘The Graduation Show 2013’ with much fanfare at JBT Hall, NCPA.

The evening was inaugurated by Mr. Dilip Jiwrajka, owner Alok Industries and Ms. Nilima Rani Singh, Director-NIFT, Mumbai. The highlight of the evening was 69 graduating batch students of the Fashion Designing and Knitwear Departments who showcased their extraordinary collections ‘FASHIONOVA’ and ‘KNITMODA’.

Some of the exciting themes the students have worked on were Code of facets, Double Take, The Pilgrim Progress, From God with Love and many more.

The fashion show was distinctly choreographed by ace fashion choreographer Achala Sachdev. The  action packed evening ended with  the students being conferred with a range of awards sponsored by Globus, NOAH Fashions, Usha International, Sheetal India, Meher Castelino etc. and handed by eminent dignitaries.

Eclectic mix of celebs, socialites and renowned models seen at the event included Narendra Kumar Ahmed, Chetan Hansraj, Nisha Jamwal, Shakti Arora, Jia Mustafa, Neha Bhasin, Dolly Thakore, Achala Sachdev, Krishna Mehta, Pradeep Hirani, Meher Castellino, Candice Pinto, Alesia Raut, Dipti Gujral, Hemangi Parte, Asif Azim, Siddharth Rawal, and many more.

There were some materials for Gossip Writers too like when Shakti Arora and Jia Mustafa were inseparable and were seen sharing the same plate too as if something was cooking between the two and when Chetan Hansraj made a quick exit and avoided the paparazzi.
