A serial criminal held: Sandhya Singh murder case
By Dinesh Kamath
NAVI MUMBAI: The Mumbai crime branch has picked up a contract killer from Navi Mumbai in connection with the Sandhya Singh murder case. The name of the arrested person is Mohammed Mehendi Hassan alias Rickshawala, who already has two to three murder cases registered against him. He is the resident of Govandi. He has been driving a rickshaw in Nerul for sometime.
The police suspect him because he was present in Navi Mumbai during the time of Sandhya Singh’s murder. The police found him moving suspiciously and in possession of a weapon. He was immediately arrested and also booked under the Arms Act. The police are interrogating him.
Have the Mumbai police, in the bid to enjoy a major breakthrough in this murder case which they have been investigating into since a long time, chosen to pick up a petty criminal for interrogation? Is this arrest done out of frustration and desperation caused by their inability to get their hands on a strong evidence?
There was no question of checking Facebook account of Sandhya since she didn’t have one and since she hardly knew anything about the computer. She couldn’t even operate it.
