Young woman jumps out of speeding car, gets badly injured

NAVI MUMBAI: At around 10 pm on Friday, on Palm Beach Road, a young woman jumped out of a running car. She sustained severe injuries. She was rushed to D Y Patil Hospital where she is lying in serious condition. An occupant of the car has been arrested by NRI police.

It was the pedestrians who were the witnesses when the woman jumped out of the car and they immediately informed the police. The woman was waiting for a bus at Nerul. She was given a lift in a car. But while the car was speeding its way towards Belapur, the woman jumped out of the car. The police are trying to find out whether the occupants of the car posed danger to her owing to which she must have jumped out of the speeding car. The police are waiting for the woman to recover after which she is expected to be in a position to make a statement.
